Brief statement of problem and remarks (from collector):
This previously unstudied collection from the dominant greenstone unit northeast of Juneau is believed to contain Late Triassic Halobia fragments. The locality apparently is stratigraphically close to the localities (57ADuw, 16AE3 = 9844, 16SpA = 9845, 16 ASpB = 9846) in the "Gastineau Volcanic" unit where Late Triassic ammonites and pelecypods have been collected. Analysis of these fossils should provide further evidence of the age of the easternmost exposures of the greenstone unit.
