Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1951 (02/20)
Seven collections transmitted in the above shipment were examined. One, 50AHr291-A, was thought to be Mesozoic and transferred to J.B. Reeside, Jr. for report. Another, 50AHr356-A, was thought to be Devonian or older and transferred to Josiah Bridge. Preliminary examinations of the other collections show that collections 50AHr378-A, 50AHr392, and 50AHr394-C are Permian in age and that collection 50AHr25 is probably Permian. Collection 50AHr17 is not diagnostic beyong being Paleozoic.
Report by: James Steele Williams
Referred by: Joseph M. Hoare
Age: Paleozoic
Comment:This collection consists of 200 or more impressions of crinoid columnals together with fragments of other fossils, most of which fragments cannot be identified even as to class. On the basis of these impressions, I believe the rocks from which the collection came to be of Paleozoic age. Beyond that, I cannot give an age based on the fossils alone.
