Description: Dolostone (B & C) structurelly overlies shale (D) which overlies marble (A). Small knob at 1020 ft. elevation, about 1.5 miles east of knob 685 feet and about 2 1/4 miles north of La Chance, sec. 16, T. 1 N., R. 16 W., lat. 65o 29.0 min., long. 162o 01.0 min., Bendeleben A-1 quad.; unit may be correlative of 83ATi227 which produced a Pennnsylvanian conodont.

41A: Black, mostly coarsely crystalline marble with lesser intercalated finely crystalline, partly dolomitic marble.
