| Comment: | A small pelecypod in a rock from Augustine I. is identified as follows: Pelecypoda
A mesodesmatid, probably related to Eryilia, and possibly the Japanese species known as Caecella chinensis Deshayes. The material is very poorly preserved preserved and the identification is not certain. C. chinensis is a Recent species ranging from the Ryukuyus to Hokkaido. Nothing remotely related to this has been reported from Alaska before. |
