| Comment: | Not enough is preserved of the single ammonite impression in this sample to permit an independent identification of the specimen. However, its ornamentation matches that of the specimen which was: (1) collected previously by Plafker (78APr131 = USGS Mesozoic loc. D10560) from generally the same locality, (2) identified by me as "Thisbites aff. T. agricolae" (Plafker and others, 19709, USGS Circular 804-B, p. 107), and (3) associated with a fauna of late Karnian (probably Macrolobatus Zone) age. |
