Description: Howard Pass C-3. Lat 68o 38'2.4" N., Long. 157o 32'45" W. Sample from uppermost m of approx. 5-m-thick chert interval; green, gray, and tan banded chert in 5-cm-thick beds. In thin section, fine-grained, dark, laminated chert containing a few percent spicules and radiolarians. (description from Dover et al., 2004, p. 54 (Table 2); [Formation: Unnamed chert - above Ipnavik unit of Lisburne Gp. -- (possibly) facies equivalent of upper Ipnavik unit.
