Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1965 (03/04)
Re-examination of old material. Several collections that you wished determined have been reported on earlier by Brown or myself and were stated at those times to contain indeterminate material: 54AGz60B, 54AGz61B, 54AGz107C, 55AGz63A, and 62AGz183; all of this material was discarded. Of the older collections you asked to be reexamined, Brown definitely discarded 6706, 6707, and 6708. The material from 3957 and 6705 cannot be located anywhere in the collections. The number 6828 applies to a locality in the canyon of Green River in Colorado. You will recall also that your memorandum of 11-24-59 to the Chief of P&S Branch requested that your collection 55AGz343 be reexamined, and that the collection was not found by S.H. Mamay; I have not been able to locate this collection either. In addition, the collections from localities 55AGz63A and 53AGz81 were also requested in 1959, but were not found then and are not present in our collections now. As you know, I also have not been able to locate Standard Oil 14112 and your 60AGz4; these collections are not on the lists of matrial shipped from Menlo Park at the time of my transfer in 1961 and were presumably left there; if they cannot be located in Menlo Park, they must have been inadvertantly thrown out.
