Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1967 (03/10)
Report by: Richard E. Grant
Referred by: William P. Brosge
Age: Permian (Permian?)
Formation: Lisburne Group
Comment:The bulk of the collection consists of about a dozen fragments of a large brachiopod whose shape and ornamentation suggests Kochiproductus. One large fragment of a ventral valve is preserved well enough to be fairly confidently identified as "Productus" arcticus Whitfield, another badly weathered valve also may be congeneric with this. Kochiproductus and P. arcticus suggest a Permian age.

Another small ventral valve of a productid is indeterminate. G. A. Cooper thought it resembled a Mississippian form, or it could be a juvenile of Kochiproductus. A weathered chonetid on one slab offers no information as to age.

No confident age assignment can be made on the basis of two doubtfully identified taxa. The collection has been assigned P&S no. 22390-PC, and will be kept for further reference.

Undetermined fragments of bryozoan are also present.
