Report on Referred Fossils
,
1969
(12/18)
|
|
This report covers fossils from scattered localites in the Tikchik Lakes region. Most specimens are not well preserved, particularly the abundant Inoceramus fragments, and some do not appear to be similar to any of the species known from southern Alaska. Hence, a precise age determination for these species is not warranted. Extensive recollecting from this area certainly would be justified with the hope of establishing a reliable biostratigraphic sequence. In addition to the fossils submitted by Condon, several collections made by BP geologists are also covered in this report. |
