This report covers 11 collections from southwest Alaska, mostly from the Goodnews Bay quadrangle. Four of these collections, from the Goodnews D-1 quad., come from a locality which the U.S.G.S. has previously collected good Permian megafossils. One collection from the Goodnews D-5 quad. (81-ABB-116) is also probably Permian, as is one from the Lime Hills quad. (81-ABB-20). Two collections are possibly Triassic (81-ABB-527 and 82ABB-167). One collection has a carbonate clast in conglomerate, probably Cretaceous; and the other two collections are indeterminate. Collections returned. [Note by Blodgett, three collections reported herein,82-ABB110A, 82ABB-71, and 81-ABB-112A, have no geographic information listed with them] |
