Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1980 (12/04)
Report by: Louie Marincovich , Jr.
Referred by: George Plafker
Age: Eocene-Oligocene (Eocene or Oligocene)
Formation: Unnamed
Comment:This genus is known from the Eocene and Oligocene of Washington and Oregon. Kanno (1971) also reports a Crassatella species in the upper part of the Poul Creek Formation in the Yakataga District, and refers to unsubstantiated “lower to middle Miocene” records in Alaska. The present specimen is probably of Eocene or Oligocene age, and thus not derived from the Yakataga Formation.
