Comment: | When the concretion containing this specimen was ground and chipped away by our preparator, it was found that all surfaces of the bones were entirely worn, leaving only the porous or cancellous inner structure of the bones. Alll sides of this specimen have now been exposed. The specimen consists of the eroded bones comprising the central or inner portion of the cranium of a whalebone whale. I regret to report that it is unidentifiable. |
