Age: Middle Triassic-Late Triassic
Comment:This collection was forwarded to me by Mackenzie Gordon, who recognized the "Goniatites" in it as Traissic arcestid ammonites. Arcestes, sensu lato, ranges from the upper Anisian through the remainder of the Middle Triassic and Upper Triassic. The low relative height of the median saddle on the suture of these specimens is more like that of Arcestes from the Upper Triassic than those from the Middle Triassic. Also present is a fragment of an halobiid pelecypod that looks more like a Halobia than a Daonella. This further suggest an Upper Triassic, rather than a Middle Triassic stratigraphic assignment.
