Comment:One collection (sample 52AJu402) was from the metalimestone 1.5 miles north of the terminus of Middle Glacier; it contained poorly preserved spongelike fossils that were identified by Helen Duncan, of the U.S. Geological Survey, as Spongiomorpha (Heptastyloppis ramosa Frech of Triassic age. This species was obtained also from a collection made on Iliamna Lake (Martin and Katz, 1912, p. 44-46) that contained other faunal elements of definite Late Triassic age.
