Comment: | Marble with coral traces (Pyramid Peak lst). Vague traces of an indeterminate loose bushy colonial rugose coral with fairly large corallites with a moderately wide peripheral stereo zone and numerous short to medium-length septa. No longitudinal section available and preservation too poor for generic identification. The Russians have referred corals with a similar cross-section to Zelophyllum iolvense Soshkina but this is probably not Zelophyllum. Could be either Silurian or Devonian but more likely the latter. |
