My conclusions regarding two of your 1971 collections from the Petersburg A-3 quad are as follows. [Comment by R.B. Blodgett - this "E&R" is actually in the form of letter] Representative specimens from these collections have been added to the Triassic reference collections of the P&S Branch in Menlo Park. |

Comment: | An age of late Middle Triassic through Late Triassic is indicated by an arcestid ammonite. Bivalve shell fragments and scraps of bone are also represented. One or two of the roundish structures having cellularly radiate interiors could conceivable have been Heterastridium, but they are too far gone to be determinable. |
