Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1955 (11/03)
Report on rock fragments from 55ACo64b, from strata assigned to the Upper Cretaceous Matanuska formation, Coniacian age, the Nelchina area, Alaska.
Report by: Ruth Todd
Referred by: Arthur Grantz
Age: No Data
Formation: Matanuska Formation
Comment:The elongate flattened specimens, at least two showing clear evidence of an internal cylindrical cavity before flattening of the thick wall, are probably the same genus and possibly the same species as those studied in two previous reports: A-54-4 dated May 26, 1954 and A-55-2 dated February 24, 1955.

They have been called both Terebellina and Bathysiphon, the latter usually regarded as a primitive arenaceous genus of Foraminifera of known marine and usually cold- and deep-water habitat. I do not feel qualified to make a specific determination of these forms on the basis of this present material.

Nothing can be added to the age designation already given.
