Report by: Louie Marincovich , Jr.
Referred by: Frederic H. Wilson
Age: Cenozoic (Cenozoic (no specifics given))
Formation: Bear Lake Formation
Comment:Comment: The preservation is very poor. But, Plicatomytilus occurs only in the Bear Lake Formation on the Alaska Peninsula and indicates very shallow water and very likely a shoreline. Neptunea (Neptunea) plafkeri, questionably identified here, is a common Miocene species in both the Bear Lake and Yakatage Formations.
