Comment: | Comment: The preservation is very poor. But, Plicatomytilus occurs only in the Bear Lake Formation on the Alaska Peninsula and indicates very shallow water and very likely a shoreline. Neptunea (Neptunea) plafkeri, questionably identified here, is a common Miocene species in both the Bear Lake and Yakatage Formations. |
