Comment: | Consists of just two hand specimens, each of which contains several impressions of coarsely striate axes, apparently several centimeters in original diameter; intermixed with these are a few specimens of narrower axes with much finer striations. The large, coarsely striate specimens are definitely of calamarian nature and their size is suggestive of Mississippian rather than Devonian age. The finely striate axes are not at all definitive; they might be petiolar in nature, but this is no help. |
