Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1961 (10/12)
Note by R.B. Blodgett: In original E&R report (dated 10/12/61)the locality number was given as 61APa45(P-97), however, in subsequent memo dated the same day, Wolfe corrected the field locality to 61APa103B(P-238)
Report by: Jack A. Wolfe
Referred by: William W. Patton , Jr.
Age: Early Cretaceous (Early Cretaceous (probably Aptian))
Comment:Age: The one entity present in this collection is a new species of the coniferous genus Elatides. This same species is elsewhere only known from the Nulato Formation, and was erroneously called Sequoia ambigua Heer by Hollick. A very closely related species, Elatides curvifolius (Dunker) Nathorst, is known from Aptian and older beds. On the basis of one species I cannot be certain of an age determination, but an Aptian age is probable for 61APa103B.
