Title: Report on Referred Fossils ,  1979 (02/01)
Report by: Ellis L. Yochelson
Referred by: Steven W. Nelson
Age: Cambrian D-Early Triassic (Late Cambrian - Early Triassic)
Comment:I have frequently advocated the point that one cannot be totally certain in distinguishing some microscopic worm tubes from mollusk shells. Having said that, I believe that this is the phosphatized steinkern of a bellerophontiform gastropod. Its maximum age range would be Late Cambrian through Early Triassic. My best guess is post-Ordovician Paleozoic through early Triassic.
