Comment: | Age: probably Pliocene or younger, not older than Miocene. Environmental inferences: the pectinid has been recorded from depths of from 274-351 fathoms in the Bering Sea. Its only fossil record is from post-glacial strata near Juneau, Alaska, where it is associated with mollusks indicative of a sublitttoral (neritic) environment. |
