Comment:The single gastropod specimen submitted shows some striking similarities to the form described as Littorina polytimeta by Huddlestone from the Upper Triassic of Great Britain. Actually this species probably belongs closer to Amberleya, a genus common in and ranging throughout the Jurassic. A definite age assignment on the basis of this one gastropod is hazardous, but a Jurassic age appears more likely than a Cretaceous one.
