This report is based on material from the Willoughby Limestone. It was collected from the north end of Willoughby Island at 1500 feet elevation, 3/4 mile NNW from Triangulation Station Will. |

Comment: | The specimens are all weathered cross-sections. Little can be done by way of identification. Present are: cross-section suggestive of wide low-spired gastropod ?new genus of high-spired gastropod aff. Ptychocaulus. All specimens, save one, appear to be the same high-spired snail in varying degrees of poor preservation. The specimens appear similar to material reported up in A-67-7 and A-68-18. It is still not possible to determine from the gastropods whether this collection is Silurian or Devonian in age, though Silurian may be a bit more likely. |
