Comment:This is the common living Astarte of the the Arctic coastline, found on every beach. Confirmed sighting as old as Anvilian, reported (doubtfully) in rocks as old as Miocene. These sepcimens all have periostracum well preserved, suggesting that they are sub-recent or latest Pleistocene.
